Vertical continuous casting is used for virtually all of the cast copper alloys. Fine grain die technology ensures the even dispersion of lead "pockets" which are crucial to the success of many leaded copper alloys in bearing applications.
Horizontal continuous casting is typically used for high copper, aluminum bronze, and manganese bronze alloys.
Many special profile shapes are available.
